Mary was seen on video camera on a pawn shop where she pawned a wedding ring about 11:30am the day of her disappearance.
An Alabama woman reported missing in March was selling her wedding ring at a Bossier City pawnshop about a half-hour after telling a freind she was headed to the restroom.
Bossier City police obtained a video showing Mary "Beth" Byrne Smith in the pawnshop about 11:30 a.m. March 24. Detectives checked pawnships the week Smith was reported missing but turned up no leads or information.

This is an interesting case out of Alabama of 30 year old Mary "Beth" Byrne Smith. Mrs. Smith is described as white, 5-foot-3 and weighing 100 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She has a tattoo of the sun on the back of her right shoulder.

SUMMERDALE, Ala. — Police said Wednesday they have no reason to believe that the wife of an Alabama minister, who disappeared after a religious conference this past weekend, was the victim of foul play.
Authorities did not disclose specifics but spokesman Mark Natale said that, "something of a private, personal nature we learned" indicates 30-year-old Mary Byrne "Beth" Smith was not abducted.
Natale said the Smith's family said it is out of character for her to disappear and no one has heard from her.
Smith, the mother of two, was last seen Saturday morning at the Living Proof Live women's conference at CenturyTel arena. Police said she told a friend at 11 a.m. that she was going to the concession stand but never returned to her seat.
Over a week later since the above was written we know very little more. Her family is not speaking to the press, there are no known searches being conducted. While there is wild speculation at this point all anyone seems to know is that Mary Byrne "Beth" Smith (now have seen name in both orders) is missing. Post will be updated with new information. Something is NOT right with this case. I agree with her friends, the whole thing was tainted from the beginning. Why would a "man of God" trash his missing wife and not be concerned about her whereabouts. NO MATTER what she had done, as Christians we are to LOVE THE PERSON - even during times that we disagree with habits. What happned to For better, for worse, for richer for poorer. This case needs a detective that cares!

Looks like she was found in New York State. Another woman who could not simply be honest with her husband and get a divorce. Looks like drugs had a big part here as she was tested at work and tested positive.
