Caylee Anthony - LE and Family Investigations
UPDATED: New poll to the right (look for the blue box.) Tell us if you think the Anthony family investigation benefits finding Caylee - comments in the poll are open for your thoughts too.
GRETA
According to Greta, Casey isn't meeting with her family because it may put her daughter in danger of she does talk to them and it's recorded and played publicly, etc etc. Evidently, Jose just left the jail at airtime - he was meeting with Casey. Greta started with the same focus on the phone records and the flurry of phone calls on June 16th and they (Fox) have the phone records. Longer than normal interview with Padilla:
- Padilla couldn't confirm to FoxNews whether the car had or didn't have gas, however the tow company driver would have been interviewed.
- They are still looking for Caylee as a missing child.
- Fox also asked him about the pizza Casey ordered and if the pizza guy had been interviewed - Padilla didn't know.
- Padilla was asked about the OCSD child sex crime unit and their involvement in the case: Padilla says they are are a more experienced resource for the investigation, and there are 10-20 people fulltime on this case including investigators from that team.
- The forensic evidence will not be released to the public right away - they will be assessed once they are received, which Padilla says they haven't.
Greta reviewed calls placed and received from Casey's phone on June 16th after 3:00 - and this taken from what FoxNews listed on the screen (thank GOD for digital cable and "pause"):
3:03pm Dad cell
4:10pm Mom work
4:11pm Mom cell
4:13pm Mom cell
4:14pm Mom work
4:19pm Tony
4:21pm Jesse
4:24pm Mom cell
6:32pm Mom home
6:33pm Voicemail
7:06pm Mom home
The last call of the day, around 7:20 was to Amy, Casey's friend. No calls for June 17th, yet. On June 18th (perhaps when Casey borrowed the shovel?) the calls were:
12:33pm Mom home
12:34pm Mom cell
12:35pm Mom home
12:36pm Dad cell
1:09pm Mom cell
1:11pm Mom home
Speaking of Amy, Cindy found Amy's resume in the car - that's how she found out who Amy was as she never met her before. Make of this all that you will....
Panel interviews - Bernie Grimm, the most devote of defense attorneys, says that he's convinced that law enforcement believes that Caylee is not living. Ted Williams got into defending the Anthony parents, saying that they're grief stricken and under enormous pressure. She wanted to cut them some slack - Ted said emphatically he did not agree. The trunk's contents have a lot more relevance to some of the panel they say, and Michael Cordoza insists there's blood and a lot of it in that trunk and that's why they are keeping the results close to the vest.
Maybe I missed something, but what was Casey's reason for borrowing the shovel?
Also, Cindy said that the greatgrandmother heard from Caylee after her disappearance. When Cindy was asked how she knew her GG phone number, she said it was programmed in Casey's phone. She was already missing! Casey had her phone in her possession after Caylee went missing. Maybe I am confused.....

Has your DVR quit smoking from all the stopping and starting? Nice work getting all that.
It seems like I remember hearing that Cindy found Casey by contacting Amy--this could be how Cindy knew how to contact her as she said she'd never met her before.

lorraine The reason Cindy is giving for Casey borrowing the shovel was so she could cut down some agressive bamboo.

I just read where they had found a body in the Indian River lagoon. All they said was that 5 units responded. Is that common, or am I thinking the worst? It was on Merrit Island. Local 6 has it.

From WESH.com: "Deputies in Brevard County discovered a body in the Indian River on Wednesday. The body was found near the west side of the Merritt Island Causeway.
The body is believed to be that of an adult man, and Brevard County investigators said a homeless camp is located nearby."

Casey really strikes me as the type that would take the time out of her busy schedule and do some impromtu Bamboo removal.....the next door neighbor said that she backed her car in close to the garage door which he thought worthy of note as she usually just drives in.....he lent her the shovel and supposedly didn't see what she was doing with it, (he took a shower), when he got out of the shower the shovel had been returned at some point.

Do these people believe they are going to retain custody of Caylee if she is found? What planet are they on? Other than the brother, I think they are ALL guilty to some degree in this!

I could not agree more with Dyan N. "they are ALL guilty to some degree!" I pray the judge does not cave in and lower the bail amount. I also agree that it is a waste of time to post the "help find Caylee" posters and billboards...especially if the family is pretty sure they know where she is, THEY JUST DON'T WANT TO TELL THE AUTHORITIES! It makes no sense. I think the flyers, billboards, myspace pages etc. are all a distraction meant to keep our minds off Casey and the crime(s) that have been committed.

Thank you Trucrym15, when I checked this morning all it said was that they had found a body.

OMG I'm almost on the floor dying with laughter WESH.com is reporting that Cindy gave police "a babysitters" number but it had been disconected.
Please, please don't make me laugh my lips are chapped.

I read on a blog somewhere that Cassy had stolen 40,000,00 from her parents/ credit cards etc. and that her cell phone had been turned off because she owed 700.00 on it! Her parents are aware of all these things/ I can't get over the grandma washing the stinky pants she found in the car--that was destroying evidence. Grandma is a nurse, she knows what a dead body smells like--and it isn't pizza. And why in the world wouldn't the grandma know the babysitter if she's had this woman for over a year. I have 12 grandchildren and I know everyone who has ever taken care of them! Grandpa is a retired cop/ he knows alot more than he's telling also. I think they are in covering up for their daughter!
