Caylee Anthony - Search For Caylee Plans To Resume

Texas Equusearch plans to be back in Orlando later in the week to resume the search for Caylee.

Jose Baez has filed 8 motions to be heard on Friday. Motion Filings

The motions are:
* Defense wants the state to release all records about its investigation into Zenaida Gonzalez.
* Defense wants Anthony - who is on home confinement - to be able to visit "key points of interest in the case" to help in the search for her daughter. Baez is requesting that her travels not be made public.
* Defense wants the Department of Children and Families - which did its own investigation into the child-neglect issue - to release its records.
* Defense wants to inspect the polygraph exams that have or will be given to anyone related to the case.
* Defense is asking for the flight manifest of Air Tran flight 862 that flew from Orlando to Atlanta on July 2. Someone reported seeing Caylee on the plane. (Investigators later located the child and the toddler was not Caylee.)
* Defense wants to the state to turn over results of forensic testing, including testing on traces of chloroform allegedly found in Anthony's car and any documentation about the air sample testing done at the Body Farm at the University of Tennessee. (Authorities reported the samples showed at some point there was a decomposing body in the trunk.)
* Defense wants to be able to inspect digital forensic evidence, such as computer hard drives, cell phones, SIM cards and media cards.
* Defense wants the state to stop testing and handling forensic evidence until the court rules on how the testing will proceed.

Sunday night vigils now take place a local church instead of at the Anthony's home.

Curious why she would want to help search since the family is so adamant that Caylee is still alive. HMMMMM....very interesting!

Notice she wants to go to PLACES OF INTEREST. I wonder if that means bars, bedroooms, boyfriends (probably to chloroform them), dancing poles. It doesn't say she wants to find the body or Caylee.

I dont really understand what else SB & J wants since the forensics have to do with homicide charges and they haven't been filed yet, at least I think.

I wonder if lavaball used her big crayons to help SB&J with the motions.

Can they really request that the state quit testing evidence? That sounds like a surefire way to stop an investigation.

Does anyone think that getting her permission to "get out of the house and help search" will possibly be her last days of freedom and sunshine since SB knows she's soon going to the Big House for the long haul ?

Howdie Newbie! I'll try to remember what Pat has said on that subject. Hopefully he'll answer your question a 1000 times better than I could. Basically the defense wants the testing stopped until a defense expert can "watch" the testing. They are looking for any mistakes, even procedural mistakes, to challenge in court. Some of the lab procedure manuals would take you a year to read and the defense will pick apart anything they can. It's probably moot as far as evidence collected this summer as it's probably been tested. But for evidence collected in the future they want to be able to challenge it.

BUZZ: Thanks, i was not sure what I Pat had said, but I think you are correct. It seems to me that SB&J don't stand a chance on this one because no homicide charges have been placed. LE only has to reveal evidence in the child negleect & economic so far. Is that about right?

Well as much as I dislike SB&J they really would be negligent not to be challenging and asking to observe the testing. Since LE has now called lavaball a suspect in Caylee's disppearance I believe the defense does have certain rights. I'm not sure what LE has to reveal, but that doesn't prevent the defense from asking a court for it.

I might be wrong, but I think once lavaball is arrested for murder, then the state has to turn over everything they have found. However,, I think they have turned over everything they need to (except for the child neglect charges and ZG. I am not sure why SB&J want the ZG files since slimeball can't represent heer in that case. Perhaps Bimbo is taking that part.

I love the request for the flight manifast. More waste of money in a case that is costing a fortune to th ANthony's. They already know the little girl was not Caylee. Why not ask for all manifasts since June 15?

Heck, if she would have given someone the heads up in...oh I don't know like JUNE 15 (If that was indeed the time she went "missing") it is possible that Caylee would have been able to celebrate her 3rd birthday.

As far as ZG, I am more leaning to just the searches of ZG...since Casey had mentioned they weren't looking in the right places. (Yeah, like under a rock)

All of this just sounds like a big smoke screen, but I also agree with you Buzz...If SB didn't do it, he wouldn't be doing his job.

They want the ZG information so that they can prove LE never made a serious search for the nanny. In other words they want to plant seeds of doubt in the jury members minds that zanny the nanny took Caylee. And if they prove Caylee is dead--that zanny the nanny killed Caylee because LE didn't listen to lavaball.

But this ZG had said that Casey mentions her kids names and the vehicle she drives...I don't remember this, but maybe it wasn't made public.

I haven't read all the documents, yet, from the last two data dumps. But it seems the bit about the car was on tv about that time. And that was about the time ZG did some interviews and filed the lawsuit. The press were reporting lavaball said ZG drove one type of car, but it was actually another brand. The two brands/models were very similar in appearance and could have been mistaken for one another. Thus the media showing the two cars side by side and they were very similar.

I dunno I think the defense is going to challenge if they looked for every ZG from Florida to NY to Texas to PR since lava or PC has mentioned these are areas she could be.

It is almost as if Casey 1) Has done something to Caylee with no remorse. Or 2) Knows where she is, and feels confident that she is safe.

To me those are the only two reasons because she acts as if she hadn't a care in the world. (Before and after arrest)

I think Baez is dreaming if he thinks Casey will be allowed to have access to the search area's, especially without the media. (Although I think this is a good idea, it will give her a reality check and show what elements people went through...total strangers, in the search for her own daughter.)

I would think that there maybe a couple of reasons why lavaball wants to go out there. Or pperhaps both of them are the reasons. 1) PR value. She has done nothing up til now and knows her time on the outside is limited but maybe if she pretends to care it might help her case. 2) She might want to hinder the search by leading everyone away from where the body is. I doubt that LE is going to let that happen.

You're all assuming she wants to search the same "points of interest" that LE referes to. I think she is hoping to follow up on all of the leads Cindy claims to have gotten. That means, NY, PR, SC, Tampa, maybe even Europe.
Now folks, we all know she already conducted her own 31 day search of her "points of interest", the bar, bed-hopping from mattress to mattress, the tattoo parlor, Target.........need I say more. Given her track record and the fact that she is now a "SUSPECT", I think it is highly unlikely that the motion will be granted.
So happy to hear that Miller will be back soon.

If indeed that is the case (but with what evidence we have seen, I doubt) anyway, it seems as though she will have to pay back the money that has been spent in the search.

Seriously. No judge in their right mind can and will grant that now that she's been named a suspect in possible homicide. What's REALLY bad is that they are going to say that if it's too look for Caylee she has to tell LE and has to have police guard with her at all times...

A judge and even the average person looks at that and it's simple what it is...she is trying to flee.

The judge would have to be crazy to allow her out UNLESS she is with LE and UNLESS she agrees to take them to the body. Even SB&J will not allow that. Besides if she went the entire family would go nad how is the media not going to catch on. How dumb do SB&J think the judge and LE are.
