"As the investigation progressed and it became clear that the evidence proved that the child was deceased, the State sought an indictment on the legally appropriate charges," prosecutors said. "We remain prepared to proceed to trial on the charges in the indictment."
Anthony remains jailed on first-degree murder, manslaughter and other charges, capping an exhaustive four-month-long investigation into the little girl's whereabouts. She is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday Oct. 28.
Link: Child Neglect Charges Dropped Against Mother of Missing Florida Toddler Caylee Anthony
Last night I saw new pictures of KC worring about her daughter. The picture showed her partying (what else) and with a gay grabbing her... well let's say that no normal woman would want to be pictured with a man's hand there (chest area). I thought it was disgustiing, but then I am old.

BTW time for the dumb question of the day. BUZZ or WE or anyone what does an arraignment mean? Does the State have to bring all their charges and evidence forward. I thought she already plead not guilty.

John don't feel bad. Some of these legal terms can make your head hurt just looking at them. Anyway in Idiots Guide to Law terms an arraignment is where the accused (Lavaball) have the charges formally presented and the defendant enters an initial plea. In this case Lavaball has entered her plea in writing. Which means she won't have an OJ 110% Not Guilty moment.
I've seen this site before. But I can't remember where. Anyway it's about bugs and bodies. http://www.forensicentomology.com/info.htm

Buzz: Thanks. What I know about courts is limited to MATLOCK and Perry Mason, at least there I know who is going to win. Now I am learning more and more which means I can forget more too.
As far as your link goees, it was interesting, but I am glad I ate dinner a couple of hours ago. I think I have a discovered another job I am glad I ever did. I will still take being the captain of the Titanic. Oh wait that is slimeball.
Posted by: JOHN | Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at 07:46 PM
What's scary is that both Perry Mason and Matlock could send in their legal assistants and the legal assistants could probrably try and effective case against Bozo and KC....come to think of it...Perry Mason and Matlock may not waste the manpower to do that and would send in the guys who dry clean their suits to do the job and STILL win the case.
Sigh.....think the judge is stocking up on alka seltzer for the day this goes to trial?

"This 3-year-old little girl was never harmed by my daughter, never. My daughter would not do that to her. I know that in my heart. She's a good mother," George said.
maybe i'm reading more into this than is appropriate, but does it seem that the "memory" of caylee is fading to the anthony family in the way that they are distancing themselves from the personalization, she is not "our granddaughter", but "this 3 year old little girl"..... as thought she were a child down the street that Lball is accused of murdering. seems odd to me. the other thing that seems odd, is what standards are being used to determine that Lball was a "good mother"?
1) she did not take any financial responsibility for raising caylee
2) she did not offer any continuity in caretaking, rather finding people (real and fictional) to take care of her all the time, regardless of the fact she was not working
3) she did not insure caylee's well being by having a "back up plan" with family members as to where caylee was spending her days, or what she was doing.
4) she took her to adult parties and put her to sleep on the couch in the middle of parties
5) she shared beds with caylee and unrelated men
6) she did not enroll her in a pre school environment or any other learning environment where caylee could thrive and spend time with other 3 year olds.
I just don't understand what the criteria is that is behind the "good mother" statement.... to me it seems she was at best a "casual parent", more than happy to let others take care of the daily responsibilities of raising caylee, and when she did have the care of her was irresponsible, putting her in environments inappropriate and possibly dangerous to her well being. there is a real denigration of standards here as to what a a "good parent" really is.

From the Orlando Sentinel this morning. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/orange/orl-casey-anthony-102208,0,4898178.story
Orange County officials announced last week that they believe the child is dead and charged Casey Anthony with first degree murder, among other charges, following the grand jury indictment. Cindy Anthony called the move another "tactic" to prevent her daughters lawyers from viewing their evidence.
You make some great points cyn. The social conservative in me adds--Did not make sure little Caylee knew (and was also supported by) her Father. By choosing not to have a father in the picture in any way, shape, or form Lball said she'd assume all the responsibility of raising a child herself. And we know how spectacularly she succeeded. (Irony)

I suppose I should mention the OS was reporting on the A's visit to the Today show this morning.

Sabrina - Hope everything went well with your presentation.
It is pretty amazing the conclusions people draw when presented with certain facts. I don't quite understand how the polls show that a small percentage of people find KC to be innocent. These must be the same people that will cast their vote for her as "Mother of the Year". Then again, I'm not sure that those polls are set up to prevent multiple entries from the same computer.

YC: Hehhehe....maybe PC went to several librarys and coffee cafes to use their computers??
For a "Good Mother" PC neglects to explain too..why this "Good Mother" also doesn't scream, beg or plea for her daughter's safe return, have her cell block, wallpaper with photos of her missing child, and is willing to get the death penalty then have her daughter safely return.
Nice that while KC was getting fat off of doughnuts and bon bons and surfing her Facebook, she never once made an actual effort to physically search for her daughter.
Target, clubs, bars and cooking dinner for boyfriends unfortunately isn't listed in the "Searching for Missing Children" manual.

breaking news (lower case intentional) anthony's set up new tipline. remember if you saw egg donor of the year doing the unthinkable, call the anthony's and let them know. After you notify LE of course.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- In spite of the evidence proving otherwise, the Anthony family insists missing toddler Caylee is still alive. A new tip line was up and running Wednesday morning.
The tip line number is: 1-888-231–5618.
I can honestly see people believing Lball didn't do anything intentional to poor little Caylee and that her death was a tragic accident. But I can't see how anybody could honestly believe she didn't write hot checks.

YC: Tonight is my speech...I was just trying to get prepared. Thanks again! ;)
WE: Remember she was searching in a "backwards sort of way"...More like ass-backwards.
cyn: Great points made about a "good mother" verses Casey
Buzz: What did OS say about the A's on the Today show? *Splain..lol
John: Hows the hand?
Blue...OH BLUE!! Where for arth you?
k6, DW, JD, MiMi....where'd everybody go?
Ok, I still need 1 more minute on my speech.......errrrrrgh.
Have a good day all!

Ok one more thing..
WE: I just checked out that link you provided and I found something odd...very odd at least to me.
"Her bail bondsman deposited $51.26 into her jail account Tuesday. That's more than the $50 her father gave her on October 18." <--------WHY would HE do THAT?
I would think that his job would be "done" regarding this. So I am unsure why he would deposit money into her account, after she was arrested and no longer needed him.
Posted by: Sabrina | Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 12:05 PM
Sabrina: Isn't it. One wonders how many favors she is doing, which is ugly to say, but what's disturbing and at the same time comforting, is she is showing herself how much of a sociopath she is. One wonders how Bozo's wife must feel at her husband more or less, destroying his career.
The Anthonys, at least PC, must be working toward perjury charges...all this is fair play come court time.
What gets me...look at the Cole case..look at the Rockerfeller case...look at how FAST people spot a child who was close to Caylee's age and the fact that with so much pressure, Cole was found...It's been 4 months and do they really think that someone is going to be hiding that well with a high profile toddler who isn't potty train, needs diapers, a pediatrician and surely if they are watching t.v. is going to spot "mommy" and "grandma" and "grandpa"....
Argh...this is what makes this case so frustrating is the depth of the denial and the fact that PC, I'm sorry, is contributing to aggravated child abuse.

Casey Anthony's parents: Caylee is alive
Amy L. Edwards and Bianca Prieto | Sentinel Staff Writers
7:57 AM EDT, October 22, 2008
Today's updates
Anthonys believe they will find their granddaughter alive
7:42a.m. George and Cindy Anthony said on national television that they think their granddaughter, Caylee Marie, is still alive and have not given up hope, despite a first-degree murder indictment against their daughter, Casey.
The couple appeared on the Today Show this morning and were interviewed by Meredith Vieira.
George Anthony refused to answer questions about his subpoena to testify in front of a grand jury last week. "I cannot comment," he said.
Orange County officials announced last week that they think the child is dead and charged Casey Anthony with first-degree murder, among other charges, following the grand jury indictment. Cindy Anthony called the move another "tactic" to prevent her daughter's lawyers from viewing their evidence.
The evidence that points to a decomposing body in the back of Casey Anthony's car and traces of chloroform found in the same place have not been released yet to the public. Cindy Anthony thinks it's all circumstantial and can be disproved.
When Vieira asked George and Cindy if they are in denial about their granddaughter's death, they said no.
"My granddaughter is still alive," George Anthony said. "My granddaughter is still out there and we are going to find her."

From WFTV: How much KC has in her jail account (think they may not like the Anthonys at all?)
link:http://www.wftv.com/news/17777986/detail.html
OVER $200 DEPOSITED INTO CASEY'S JAIL ACCOUNT
Now Casey Anthony has a little money to play with in jail. Wednesday morning, Nola Copeland deposited $50 and Joyce Story deposited $100. It's unclear who the two women are.
Her bail bondsman deposited $51.26 into her jail account Tuesday. That's more than the $50 her father gave her on October 18.
So what could Casey buy with her $200-plus from the jail commissary? She could get a moon pie for 60 cents, a bra for $5.99, about the same price she paid at Target, or she could buy herself a sympathy card for $2.
---------------------
I'm wondering...is it unethical that a BAIL BONDSMAN is depositing money for someone he's not even related too?? I wonder how many other future clients are going to expect this special treatment and how many current inmates are going to have increase hatred toward KC for her "special treatment" from not only her family but from a bails bondsman.
Posted by: wondering eyes | Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 12:28 PM
LOL Sabrina I think I only had half a brain on this morning. Anyway WE has since copied the entire OS article from this morning. In short A's say Caylee is still alive, the murder charges are meant to keep Bozo away from evidence, and they've started a new tip line.
I don't know if it's ethical or not for a Bondsman to give $$$ to a client.
I'm am becoming more and more convinced that if Caylee's body is found the A's will deny, deny, deny.
Posted by: Buzz | Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 12:43 PM
Maybe the bondsman is looking for referrals, lol. The real oddity is the uneven amount, $ 51.26 ??? As for the strangers making deposits, I guess they come in all flavors, ( the nuts, that is ).
Posted by: YC | Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 12:45 PM
The Anthonys 'have to' assert that they believe little Caylee is alive inorder to cast doubt on the prosecution's case. Unless the body is recovered before trial, the defense wants at least one juror to believe that there is the possibility that Caylee is alive somewhere.
Unfortunately, it doesn't appear like this case is going to be a slam dunk. Let's hope the prosecutor is very convincing.
Posted by: YC | Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 12:53 PM
If the Anthonys do deny deny deny, I think what would be the right thing for someone to start a fund to make sure Caylee gets the biggest and most loving memorial that she rightly deserves...
Buzz: PC must have forgetten to tell people that in addition to her Navy Seal training, cadaver dog training, sociopath babysitting/enabling and Garden Hose Handling in nursing school, that her nursing school also taught her ;Think it must be tough to go to that nursing school?
You know...if it wasn't for the Anthonys, people would be clueless that our legal system was designed just to keep people like Bozo from evidence...wow...I guess it's too much to expect Bozo to (gasp)actually do the work himself and I guess he must have gone to the law school for lazy losers.
And (gasp) PC needs to become a law professor to re-educhate prosecuting attorneys to stop being so obvious that they are trying to prevent defense attorneys from having access to evidence that they are (shhh...don't tell PC) are entitled too...it's called (Shhhh..don't tell PC,it's a secret only people with brains are allowed to know) a "deposition".
I wonder if GA ever goes into the shed and as PC is mouthing away, keeps glancing at his shovel, while halfway listening and gas cans and wonder what if?
Buzz...think the inmates are hoping to have a field day soon?
Anyone besides me waiting for the day PC goes on trial and tries to accuse everyone of a conspiracy and that SHE knows how to do their jobs?
Posted by: wondering eyes | Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 12:57 PM
YC: I think the prosecutor is pretty convincing to get a murder charge at that level and there is STILL more evidence out there that NONE of us knows about...plus with the federals investigating...they are going to have their own case against KC and if the state don't get her (which it seems safe it will), the feds will.
They are involved because of a claim of false kidnapping and they aren't going to just let a 22 year old bamboozled the government that easily. There's no doubt more information out there than any one in the public is privy too.
PC, needs to be VERY careful because I'm sure the IRS is watching them too.
There is too much evidence including her own actions that has convicted her without even trying and there is no way she can be acquitted.....It wouldn't be surprising that KC won't EVER be able to walk on the streets, either figuratively or literally.
Posted by: wondering eyes | Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 01:01 PM
See I am glad I am not the only one who thought that was odd, and yes I too think the uneven amount..in dollars and cents..doesn't make sense. Maybe for "taxes"?..LOL
But you have to think he got a good bargain...$51.26 for a "good time" for what...about 2-3 weeks? Now who is the ultimate shopper!
Posted by: Sabrina | Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 01:01 PM
Sabrina: LOL...maybe he was emptying out his pockets and that's all he said...He should have asked when KC was searched if she had any credit cards or checkbooks that wasn't hers.
Posted by: wondering eyes | Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 01:03 PM
WE: Is that a "what if Casey did something to Caylee" or "What if I can get away with it too?"

Lawyer with death row experience (not literally) joining the "Loser Team"
link:http://cayleeanthony.wordpress.com/2008/10/21/lawyer-with-death-experience-joins-casey-team/
excerpt:
.Miami criminal defense attorney Terence Lenamon has joined the Casey Anthony defense team. Two of the three high-profile murderers Eyewitness News knows he’s defended are on death row. The other is serving five consecutive life sentences.
To paraphrase, here's one of the guys he defended...note what the guy he defended who (made a horrible mistake) did to a correctionals officer:
Lenamon is a highly-rated defense attorney. Still, two of three high-profile murderers he’s defended in recent years are on Florida’s death row.
One of them is known as “The Miami Stranger.” Harrel Franklin Braddy, 59, was sent to death row last year for literally feeding little Quatisha Maycock to the alligators in the Everglades after strangling her mother and leaving her for dead. The jury voted 11-1 for death.
Braddy had already been convicted of choking a corrections officer.
Lenamon had tried to convince the jury the little girl’s murder was not intentional, but “a horrible mistake”.

Sabrina: I think it's more of a "KC thinks she lives in an alternate universe created for her only to find for some reasons it clashes with the real world".LOL
I just really find it hard for her to get away with this and meanwhile her team is being composed of people with losing track records....I guess it's not really a high priority that someone actually won a case as long as they are a male that she can flirt with.
Notice no "females" in the team.
