The search continues and very little new information has come out. The family has come together and finding Haleigh is their primary focus. Even media appearances have been put off.

If we could provide two pieces of advice, the family (both sides) need to come together for the sake of finding Haleigh. Anything that existed before 2/10/09 can be fixed and battled about after Haleigh is home. Second, get a spokesperson for the family and put out a consistent message then go look for Haleigh, lead the flyer distribution, lead the search do whatever it takes to get Haleigh home. The media is tearing the inconsistencies apart. Ron and Crystal need to be Haleigh’s voice even if through a spokesperson. They need to unite for the sake of Haleigh. The seperate vigils are petty and the division is causing the focus to fall off the search.

Texas Equusearch, Kidfinders Network, and Josh Duckett are headed to Putnam County, FL. to assist the family in the search for Haleigh. Haleigh’s father 24 year old Ron Cummings, and his girlfriend 17 year old Misty Croslin have had multiple interviews with police and the FBI. The 911 calls have been released as well. There is also a 2pm press conference, more updates to this post as details emerge.

Haleigh is three feet tall, weighs 39 pounds, and has blonde hair and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a pink shirt and underwear. I hope they find the missing child. That being said -- the legal age of consent in Florida is 18 years old. It is a felony for a 24 year old father to engage in sexual activity with his 17 year old girlfriend in Florida. See Florida Statute 794.05.

If convicted of this crime, the father would have to register as a sex offender. Florida law also requires any person with knowledge to report any knowledge or allegation of child abuse or child sex abuse to the Department of Children and Families in Florida by law. This also includes law enforcement or even school employees: call (800) 96-ABUSE if you don't believe me.

I wonder of the Putnam Co. Sheriff's Office made the call yet as they too have a duty to report (if not investigate and prosecute) the sex abuse of the 17 year old girlfriend? Hmmm.

One thing to keep in mind--a registered sex offender does not mean the person is a child sex preditor. Sex crimes range from incest, rape of an adult, rape/molestation of a child, flashing, statutory rape, date rape, and a variety of other charges depending upon the state. In fact the most likely person to molest your child is sitting at the holiday table with you.

That said I tend to strongly believe the suspect will be somebody with a criminal record and very possibly one of the sex offenders that have been identified is responsible for Haleigh's abduction. I hope that she is found safe very soon.

This girlfriend is profoundly dumb and looks completely wasted as well. She was unable to answer a single question with the 911 dispatcher whom she did not even have the brains to call and when interviewed she has an attitude and does not make eye contact. I see her shuffling around and smoking like a moron. The fact that she repeatedly refers to this 5 yr old as her daughter is absurd, insulting and moronic since she was 11 when the child was born and clearly is an incompetent babysitter at best. How could someone come right on in and steal a child away that is in bed with you? Also, When Greta interviewed her she said the child was "4 inches away" and then "five feet away". This girl is drugged out and is most likely involved in this. And as to why George Anthony, the Grandfather of a sociopath who murdered his own grandaughter, is there with these people I have no clue. Mr. Anthony needs therapy to help get himself out of denial. Everyone involved in this child's life seems incredibly dumb, unresponsive, unable to speak or make eye contact. What kind of a life did this child have?

I am concerned with everyone in this situation.Does not the DFC (division of family and children)not see an issue with a 17 year old girl living with a 25 year old?I cant believe a judge would give this boy custody of these children.I dont think either parents are capable of raising these children.The only reason i could think a judge would give this man custody of these children is to keep them out of the system but does it really matter because they are already in the system from what im getting from the story.I hope they find this little girland may god be with her.Im not sure who took this little girl but i hope to god that they find her alive.Ive been following this story for about 5 days my 12 year old son brought this story to my attention and when he was telling me about it he also said the girlfriend knows something.I also agree that they all look like they are on drugs,and for crystal the mother they were asking her questions about her 5 year old daughter and she couldnt even answer them.I dont think she even knows her own daughter these people are making me sick.I also found out she has also had another child she acts to love dearly.all I can say is poor children and she shouldnt have forgot the other two children she had.

I am confused about this one thing. The mother says she never got court papers, in most states you can't go to court until all are served.When my daughter was going through a similar custody battle her ex kept evading the server and we couldn't get a court date( at the time he had taken the child out of school while she was at work and wouldn't bring him back or let her see him). As a grandmother if my situation wouldn't have changed and my son in law wouldn't have been stopped my grand children would probably be presumed missing today at the advise of our attorney. I don't know the true story behind this but I do know about controlling men who don't care about their children just control over the situation. I heard family services had become involved...was there abuse...what about this father's desire for underage girls, this case is very strange. I do hope Haleigh is found alive and well.

Someone came into the place where I work who lives on the same block as the little girl, told me there were two bricks of cocaine found in the trailer. He thinks it's someone her father owes money to. I'm not so sure. I think the cops would have said something about it though. I could be wrong.
