Department of Justice Missing Person's site and Lighting the Way Home on Websleuths

******Edited because of apparent confusion of whether these 2 resources are linked. (They are not) The post was just supposed to list out 2 resources for the families of the missing, that's it. I never really thought that the Department of Justice and their links could be confused with something in a forum on Websleuths.

Original post below. With my comments, since this has been critiqued much more than is needed. Here is the concerns surrounding Lighting the Way Home (TheDailyBS.com) and here is the cut and paste job from the original post into NowPublic.com's site. Websleuths has set up a resource depository and there is much more information there on many other sites and databases for the missing.

Lighting the Way Home is the dedicated forum for resources for the missing. The amount of information already there is astounding.

Information like the links below (keyword: LIKE) are all located together in the Lighting the Way Home forum so families and others have one central place to get all the information they need to start or continue the search for friends and loved ones.

1 of 2 abducted Terre Haute brothers killed

A very sad ending to an Amber Alert issued in Indiana.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The older of two brothers who authorities say were abducted by their father is dead, while the younger boy and father were hospitalized with knife wounds Wednesday, police said.

Police found the body of Collin Walker, 4, early Wednesday in a lake in Blackhawk, just south of Terre Haute.

His brother, Monte, 2, and their father, 32-year-old Katron Walker had knife wounds, Terre Haute police said. Police have not released the older boy's cause of death. A resident who recognized Walker and his van from the Tuesday Amber Alert called police.

"He was running from a trailer and had both boys in his arms and he jumped into the lake with his sons," Terre Haute Police Sgt. David Smith told WTHR-TV.

Katron Walker's wounds were self-inflicted, police said.

TEMPE PD is looking for Valeria Cardenas. The event occured at , Tempe AZ on Friday, February 24th at 6:50AM. 11 yo victim was last seen at 0650 believed to be enroute to Mexico with 19 yo boyfriend. The suspect threatened to kill the 11yo if police were contacted.

Victim 1, Valeria Cardenas is described as being a 11 year old Hispanic female, Bro hair, 5'01". 130lbs Shoulder length hair with hilites Wearing: Light brown jacket, red shirt, dark blue skirt carrying a black backpack but has possibly changed clothes

Suspect 1, Carlos Mota-Aguilera. is described as being a 19 year old male, Hispanic with Bro hair, Weighing (Aprox): 140lbs.

Tennessee Amber Alert issued for Nevaeh Nicole McMinnis

Amber Alert issued for Cheatham toddler

The Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Middle Tennessee regional Amber Alert.

Authorities believe Nevaeh Nicole McMinnis, age 16 months, was abducted on Feb. 9 by her grandmother, Harriett Lenora McMinnis.

They were last seen in a dark blue, 4-door Buick Century with Tennessee license plate EDK611.

Nevaeh was last seen wearing a Tigger outfit, orange with black stripes on her pants, and blue sapphire earrings. She is 3-foot-1 and weights 28 pounds. She has brown hair and blue eyes.

The suspect was last seen heading westbound on I-90 from East 55th Street in Cleveland. Police say Locke is a convicted sexual predator, who was sentenced to 20-months in Washington State on rape charges. A statewide Amber Alert has been issued for a Cleveland, Ohio toddler believed to have been abducted by a suspect who police say is a known sex offender with a history of violence. Police say 24-month-old Joshua Bryant was last seen Sunday morning around 5:45 a.m. (EST). He was wearing a gray "Michigan" sweatshirt with a hood, black jeans and white tennis shoes. He has brown eyes, short brown hair, and a scar on his forehead.Police believe the child was taken at around 10:15 a.m. Friday by Shamone Collins, 29. Collins is described as a 5-foot-6, 230-pound black woman with brown eyes and brown braids. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a cream-colored sweater and white K-Swiss tennis shoes.Police said Collins knew the boy's mother.Authorities believe Collins may be traveling with 20-year-old Michael Newton, a black man described as 6 feet tall and 150 pounds.Police do not know the direction the group may be traveling. Pennsylvania Amber Alert: Rahsann Coles, 10 month old

Amber Alert Issued Friday January 13, 2006

The Pittsburgh Police Department and the Pennsylvania State Police issued the Amber Alert after it was reported the mother shot and the baby abducted.

Rahsann Coles, black female, 1 year of age, black hair, 30 pounds in weight, wearing blue jeans and a pink top. She was last seen at 207 Edmond Street, Pittsburgh, Pa Allegheny County at 2:55 AM.

She was reported abducted by a Todd D. Ballard, black male, age 29, 6 feet 2 inches tall 200 pounds, black hair, and brown eyes.

The vehicle is an older white Lincoln sedan, unknown direction of travel. No further information is available at this time.
