As a public health minor at ������, you’ll explore the health of communities, examining how illness spreads and which factors impact a population’s overall wellbeing.

������’s public health degree is offered in partnership with RIZE, an online consortium that allows ������ to broaden its course offerings. ������picks and chooses courses from RIZE that allow us to create new majors, maximize flexibility, and leverage the existing strengths on our campus. The public health degree requires two online classes offered through RIZE.

Our public health minor is founded on the truth that the human body is an incredible creation of God. We acknowledge His role in not only its creation but in His providing for our health, whether through the body’s ability to heal itself or the knowledge He gives us to promote healing through medicine.

Your core public health courses will introduce you to topics such as epidemiology and health psychology. You’ll also choose from an elective in sociology, nutrition, and microbiology.

You will graduate with a broad understanding of public health and be prepared to work in fields such as epidemiology, biostatistics, nutrition, or health education.
