With a minor in political communication at ������, you’ll learn to communicate effectively in the political realm. Whether involved in a political campaign or working as a public official, you’ll be equipped to apply communication theory to governmental dealings.

In the School of Arts and Humanities, we recognize communication as the world’s oldest formalized discipline, and as an essential part of the human experience. We understand that communication is how God has revealed himself to us. As Christ’s followers, our chief aim is to be effective, relevant communicators, whether in the public square or a private organization.  

As a political communication minor, you’ll take classes full of insightful discussions and real-world examples, where you’ll apply communication theory in classroom activities. You’ll begin with core courses such as Intro to American Government, Political Communication, and Intro to Political Thought. As you progress, you’ll choose from electives such as Quantitative Reasoning, Intercultural Communication, or an optional communication internship. 

When you graduate with a political communication minor, you will be equipped to navigate the complexities of political communication. You’ll be prepared to work in numerous roles within the public sector, from crafting a campaign slogan to serving in public office.
