As an entrepreneurial management major at Grace, you鈥檒l learn the ins and outs of starting a small business, creating innovative products and services, and maintaining growth and profit.
Our entrepreneurial management program is founded on the biblical values of service and generosity. At its core, entrepreneurship is the practice of identifying needs in your local community and working with integrity and efficiency to meet them.
Your foundational courses will instruct you in the essentials of business, such as economics, accounting, and financial law. As you mature in these skills, you鈥檒l also take specialized entrepreneurial courses, such as Small Business Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Design for Business.
You鈥檒l even spend a semester creating and operating a small business. In the Entrepreneurial Service Project, you鈥檒l work with a team to research a market, form a business plan, obtain a loan, implement your plan, make a profit, and then donate your earnings and time to a charitable organization. Over the years, the School of Businesses has contributed more than $10,000 dollars and 1,000 hours of community service to the community.
As an entrepreneurial management major, you鈥檒l also compete in the Business Plan Competition, in which you鈥檒l present a business plan to professionals in the community for the chance to win up to $10,000 toward your company.
There鈥檚 no education like hands-on learning, so you鈥檒l also complete an internship or practicum to complete the degree. Warsaw, Indiana, is known as The Orthopedic Capital of the World庐, and many of our students seeking internships take advantage of our connections with local orthopaedic businesses. You may also decide to intern at a business in your hometown.
Upon graduating with an entrepreneurship degree, you鈥檒l be equipped with a robust knowledge of all that goes into starting and running a business. Graduates have gone on to work in fields such as the small business market, finance and accounting, and marketing research.
