As an actuarial science major at Grace, you will learn to apply mathematical and analytical skills to manage financial risk. 

As a Christian College, we hold God’s Word as the highest authority in our lives and view actuarial science as a direct way to shine for Jesus and serve other image-bearers. In this program, you will discuss how the field of risk is a means of helping businesses make wise financial decisions. 

Your courses will provide you with a strong foundation in both mathematics and business, including probability and statistics, accounting and finance, computer programming, and economics.

You will also glean from interactions with professionals in the actuarial science field. Through the Industry Insights program, students gain insights from actuaries through a zoom call or in-person meeting. We have a variety of notable title-holders participate in this program, including an actuary at , a recruiter for , and the commissioner for the . In addition to these classroom interactions with professionals, you will work with them during your required internship at an insurance or financial service company.

Upon finishing the actuarial science degree, you will earn your (Validation by Educational Experience) in mathematical statistics and accounting and corporate finance. You will then be ready to work as an actuary, consultant, credit analyst, financial analyst, or data analyst. ������actuarial science graduates have gone on to work for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Brotherhood Mutual, and Cincinnati Insurance — just to name a few!
